Following the discovery of failures in the existing below ground slab fire hydrant service pipework at the DHHS Office Building at 163-167 Welsford Street in Shepparton, RSP Consulting was appointed to undertake a series of site investigations and assessments before proposing options to re-instate the system.
Working closely with the client, project building surveyor and local fire authority, several options were presented for review and consideration by all team members before finally settling on the preferred solution.
The design and documentation prepared by RSP Consulting includes the provision of a new metered water service, relocated fire hydrant booster, dual fire pumps and break tank, and new in-ground fire hydrant pipework to re-connect to the existing fire hydrant risers within the building.
This project is due for completion October 2021 and we will be there to see it through to a successful outcome.
